What Is A Joystream Council Member?

Joystream is currently developing a series of testnets in order to assist us with the development of our user-governed video platform.

Council Members are responsible for allocating the resources of the testnet platform and for evaluating and voting on proposals made by participants.


Are Council Members Paid?

Yes, Council Members are paid for their participation on our testnets!

What Are The Responsibilities Of A Council Member?

Council Members must carefully consider and discuss with other members and testnet participants the merits of each proposal. They should try to process every proposal promptly.

We will provide further instructions and guidance for anyone selected as a Council Member through the application process.

We want a diverse range of people to participate in our councils, so please don't be put off from applying if you lack technical expertise. There are also other roles available for you to participate in - explore those here.
